NotCoin has confirmed that it will end on April 1st, following a bug-like teaser that it will end the game's “mining phase” on April 1st. But the “problem” raised more questions than it answered: Will April 1st be the airdrop date Notcoin players have been waiting for? Or is this NotCoin team building on their 30 million strong player base for an April Fools joke?
Notcoin is a viral clicker game where millions of Telegram users tap a coin graphic on their phone screen to earn in-game currency. At first, it wasn't clear whether the in-game coins could be exchanged for real kriptovalyutnyh – but the team recently confirmed that an airdrop is indeed on the way via The Open Network (TON).
Players who logged into the NotCoin game on Monday were greeted with an incredibly graphic graphic that said “7 days” before disappearing.
The team also shared a clip from “Avengers Endgame” (a moment from “Guardians of the Galaxy Revisited)” and a note in Notcoin's community channel that said, “Mining phase ends on April 1st.” The post goes on to thank members of the Notcoin community, for being a part of the game's journey thus far in typically mysterious Notcoin fashion.
“The team built the app, but you're the only one who saw something,” the message says. “Something that doesn't fit what one might expect. It's absurd but it's reasonable. You're what you got. That's all you are. I and all the contributors thank you for building with you every day and night.”
While it's not clear when the messaging service will launch, a Notcoin representative confirmed DecryptGG that the airdrop will happen in the next two weeks. And although the mining is completed, the game is not over. More information about the next phase of NotCoin will be released after the mining is finished.
