Now you can deploy your own L3 package for $50 per month.

Blockchain infrastructure firm Conduit has launched a new platform that allows users to build and deploy a Layer-3 stack on Ethereum or other networks for as little as $50 per month and in 15 minutes.

In a February 21 post, Conduit announced the launch of X, which will make “high-volume” Layer 3s transactions even cheaper.

“Base and OP Mainnet are examples of general purpose L2 networks. They are cheap, fast and generate hundreds of different applications,” Conduit explained in a Feb. 21 blog post.

But some applications require a cheap computer and limited block space. L3s allows apps to stop competing with others for blockspace and leverage their demand,” he added.

The new features come a week after Conduit announced a similar solution for Lab-2 rolls on February 15.

The cheapest $50 monthly plan allows deployments to be built on Ethereum's Sepolia testnet, and the $3,000 per month plan allows more users to deploy to the mainnet, according to Conduit's Deployment app.

The gateway application allows users to choose Optimism OP Stack or Arbitrum Orbit as the package framework, the settlement layer where transactions bundled with Ethereum, Base, Zora or Mode are verified. Users can also have bundle transaction data posted to Ethereum or Celestia.

L3's additions were described as “a big day for +1M pack believers” by David Hoffman, host of crypto-focused podcast Bankless, but Paradigm's head of market development, Nick Martich, said it wasn't an easy way to launch one. roll.

“Don't think people appreciate what's going on here,” Paradigm Researcher Georgios Constantopoulos said of Conduit's development.

Conduit advertises that these coils can be deployed in “a few clicks” with “no code required.”

Some observers at X, however, shared concerns about the simplicity of the new collection. Psuedononmous Defillama developer 0xngmi said, “Each shitcoin makes its own package now innit?”

Meanwhile, another analyst, “h wonder,” sees potential problems if users stop paying the monthly bill or ask for cancellation.

While there is no deployment cost for the testnet plan, those who sign up for the main plan must pay a gas fee for deployment, which at the time of writing costs $8,150 at 2.79 Ether (ETH). The package takes about 15 minutes to deploy.

Layer-3 package income pocketing 7.5% income.

The company claims that these Layer-3 solutions will make Ethereum and Layer-2 transaction fees 100 and 10 times cheaper, respectively, as they make more block space available.

Cointelegraph reached out to Conduit for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has previously argued that Layer 3s could provide “tailored functionality” for users' on-chain needs by September 2022.

However, he was not in favor of stacking the same measurement system on his own.

But “a three-layer architecture, where the second layer and the third layer have different purposes, is possible,” Buterin said.
