Okex Ventures invests in Web3's 'ARPG to play AI' game Blade of God X


Crypto and Web3 investment fund OKX Ventures recently invested in Void Labs' action role-playing game “God's Blade”, an early access title with a ‘game… to train' feature that allows players to control an artificial intelligence (AI) model. Game play training.

According to a press release from OKX Ventures, the game-to-train concept “not only integrates advanced AI agents with blockchain technology, but also allows players to train their AI agents through gameplay.

It is currently unclear exactly which models will be trained and how gameplay will contribute to this training. Cointelegraph reached out to OKX Ventures and Void Labs for more details, but did not receive a response as of press time.

Blade of God X is an action role-playing game with gameplay similar to “soul-like” games known for their complex action sequences.

It is currently listed on the Epic Game Store as an Early Access title featuring blockchain functionality. According to the game specification, participation with non-swarm tokens, cryptocurrency and other Web3 features is completely optional. Blade of God X is free to download and play, but interacting with its blockchain-based features may require payment or wallet access.

According to the Epic Games Store FAQ, the game is compatible with Immortal X and EVM (Polygon) chains.

Those who choose to connect to the game's Web3 features can “create their own gaming experiences” through MetaMask, GameStop, Venly, Coinbase Wallet or Magic Link or Immutable Passport.

According to the press release, the series has been downloaded more than six million times so far, and Blades of X itself has now grossed $6 million.

Vide Labs founder Tanisse said he is grateful for OKX Venture's “invaluable support” after the company stepped in to invest.

“This partnership gives us the resources and guidance we need to continue to innovate, expand our thinking, and deliver unique gaming experiences to players around the world.”

The game's other investors include Delphi Ventures, BreederDAO, Eden Holdings and many others.
