Panasonic, IBM partner with Constellation Networks to launch DoD-screened “Blockchain of Blockchains” in Global Hackathon.
San Francisco, USA/California, July 15, 2024, Chainwire
The doors are now open for Web3 and Web2 developers to build Astrology Network's long-awaited hypergraph distributed ledger technology — through various contracts with the US Department of Defense over the past several years.
Constellation's Global Metagraph Hackathon is a fully virtual event that runs from July 15 to September 9, 2024. A total of $100,000 USD in $DAG (Constellation Network Cryptography) will be distributed to winners in various categories, including Metagraph Development. A device on a chain, with the largest single prize of $25,000 going to the most successful Metagraph.
At the Hackathon, Constellation will officially demonstrate the “Metagraph” application layer technology that works for a global audience on top of the Hypergraph global consensus layer. Metagraph can be any type of Layer 1 decentralized application (dApp) network or legacy Web2 network with its own internal business logic. Other blockchains can be a metagraph on top of a stellar hypergraph.
“The Constellation Hypergraph is the blockchain,” said Ben Jorgensen, CEO of Constellation Network. “With Web3 and blockchain technology, the best way forward for all of us is collaboration and cooperation between chains and communities. There are many of us individually building these networks that support things like decentralized AI, tokenized assets, IoT edge computing, decentralized finance, and many other Web3 innovations that seem to be popping up everywhere.”
“But hypergraph?” Ben continued, “This technology can tie it all together, make everything interoperable, and give them the basic infrastructure to secure their networks and secure their data flows.
Panasonic and IBM are partnering with Stardust, the C14 cryptocurrency on-ramping service, the Stardust Collective and the National DigiFoundry, led by members of the US National Science Foundation, the US Space Force and the US Department of the Treasury, to support the development of new metamorphic technologies that collaborate in ways we have yet to see in space.
Constellation's fast and seamless hypergraph network is uniquely designed using a DAG-based infrastructure and microservices as an underlying digital transmission layer with a dynamic architecture and application network overlay (metagraph). This facilitates interoperability and integration across both Web3 and Legacy Web2 networks, requiring network security, data authentication, scalability, and adoption by businesses and governments.
“Communication” is a buzzword in the Web3 space, it can be defined as all networks needing to talk to other networks – each with its own unique set of networks of IoT devices such as a smart factory or city to communicate and share information. A metagraph network connected to an underlying hypergraph.
“I've been looking forward to this year since we started the company. It has always been our vision to have blockchain tools that are developer friendly and open to the masses. This hackathon marks the beginning of many expressions that Metagraphs has to offer and there seems to be no limit to the huge list of use cases. Thanks to the team that made this happen and the partners who made this happen.
– Benjamin Diggles, Chief Strategy Officer
Constellation Metagraphs can work with any data type, interface directly with external data sources, accept existing Scala or Java libraries, provide full control over the authentication and consensus logic in the network, and applications can scale to their needs with a multi-layered microservices architecture.
“With technology proven by the strict standards of the United States Department of Defense and partnerships with industry giants like Panasonic and IBM, this hackathon is more than a competition; it's an invitation to global developers to pioneer next-generation decentralized applications and change the digital landscape.”
