Ethereum NFT card fighting game parallel only It has started its open beta. At the end of last month, however, Parallel Studios is charging ahead to its next crypto game — and it's being built. Solana Instead.
The colony that the studio had previously teased is now detailed in A. White paper It was released late Thursday, taking a deep dive into the game that builds on the foundations of a parallel universe with different gameplay — and a new chain, too.
Described as a “survival simulation” game, Colony is powered by generative AI and played by “agents” that you cannot directly control. You'll start your agents off by answering a few questions to establish their basic personality, but it will evolve over time.
Your AI-powered agent will have a mind of its own. You can give your agent's opinion, but you may not always obey it.
“For example, a user might ask their model, ‘Maybe in the future you should plant an apple tree to get food?' It can be suggested.” The white paper reads. “Avatars respond to feedback, in some cases interpreting it in light of other goals they may have — even rejecting their owner's ideas if they believe they are out of character or conflict with another goal they pursue.”
“In such cases, you may find an owner arguing or coercing the avatar to get the job done,” he continues. “Ultimately, the model adapts to its intended purposes—sometimes ignoring the owner's input and starting to perform whatever actions the owner deems most useful without directly controlling each action.”
Colony builds around the parallel avatar at the beginning. NFTs, 11,001 of which are available on Ethereum. The white paper suggests that PRIME token holders will be able to vote on management's proposal to further develop that number at Solana.
This is because the game includes a “breeding” mechanism to spawn more agents over time, such as Axie Infinity and colorful monster generations. The PRIME token will be used as an in-game crypto reward from Ethereum to Solana Bridge as wrapped in the game.
To get crypto rewards, however, you need to own an NFT token. A “free-to-play” version is also available, but those users cannot earn PRIME rewards, capture items, mint items as special NFTs, or transfer items outside of the game. In any case, even “free” players must pay to cover the AI power of the Large Language Model (LLM).
“Users must still provide funding to cover fees associated with their agent's use of the underlying LLMs during gaming sessions,” the white paper reads. This is the complete and reward-eligible version of Colony that players can use to play LMM. They are helping money if they put their calls in the avatar wallet.
The parallel team expects to launch a public alpha version of Colony in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025. The whitepaper provides a lot more details, but we're sure we'll be seeing and hearing more about the game in the coming months—especially since Parallels has been gaining steam lately. .
Colony's announcement appears to have dented PRIME's price in the process, with the token surging 22% in the past 24 hours to a current price of over $21. It even rose early Friday, setting a new all-time high of $23.39 per share from data CoinGecko.
