Peter Thiel sells the entire share of the Ethereum treasury ETZilla
Billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel, who co-founded PayPal and Palantir Technologies, and his Founders Fund have fully exited Ethereum-based escrow firm Etzilla, according to a new SEC filing.
TL reported that it acquired a 7.5% stake in ETZilla last August. The investor group announced its acquisition of over 9% of BitMine Immersion, the largest Ethereum holdings.
The investors sold their entire stake in ETZilla effective December 31, 2025. Their release marks a reversal from their previous position, which was seen as a vote of confidence in corporate Ethereum strategies.
Etzila shares fell 5% in afternoon trading and are down 28% since the start of the year, according to Yahoo Finance.

Etzilla, formerly known as 180 Life Sciences Corp, has brought the biotechnology to an Ethereum-based treasury model by mid-2024. ETHZilla Launches Aerospace To Offer Tokenized Equity In Leasing Jet Engines.
The company currently holds 69,802 ETH worth about $140 million, placing it among the top 10 owners of Ethereum public corporations.
