Pixel hosted the first Web3 in-game wedding.

After meeting his partner at the 2022 Axie Infinity convention, renowned web3 content creator Cloudwhite decided there was no better way to connect Axie than with a web3 game – making it the first to do so.

“Live streaming and hosting the wedding on Pixel Online was critical for my family and friends attending in Wisconsin and Laura's family and friends attending in Columbia,” Cloudwhite told Web3Gamer.

“The Web 3 Wedding idea was very personal to us, but it's a viable option for family and friends around the world who can't make it to a physical event,” he said.

Players who attended the wedding looked sharp as they dressed to celebrate Cloudwhite's special moment.

The turnout was so big that Cloudwaite is probably thankful the event was virtual, or he could have been hit with a big bill. 3,789 users bought dresses, and 1,865 went for wedding dresses.

Cloudwaite admitted to being a little “envious” to everyone in attendance as they enjoyed all the fun in-game experiences in the game while juggling other things like making one of the biggest commitments in his life.

He explained that one of his favorite moments was “watching people create their own side events in a game, like a drunken goose bachelor party.”

Cloudwaite and his partner Laura tied the knot at Terra Villa Central on September 7th at Pixels Gaming, and quickly became the talk of the web3 gaming community.

Even Sky Mavis, the creator of Axie Infinity and Pixels-based Ronin Network, shared the news on social media.

Cloudwhite is grateful to the Web3 gaming community, especially the Ronin team. He explained that he had his back and helped the couple maintain their relationship as they worked out the logistics of living in the same country.

“The Ronin Network community around the world was critical to our journey. Many hosted us while we waited for Laura's K-1 visa in the US,” he explains.

“We have traveled to eight countries. We waited 16 months for the K-1 visa. With the help of family and friends, she arrived safely in America and we planned our wedding within three weeks. It's been six years since this historic wedding at Pixel.

Dark fantasy idle RPG Immortal Rising 2 recently garnered over 400,000 pre-registrations ahead of its September 13 launch. One of the executives behind the game guesses what's fueling the pre-launch excitement.

“Immortal Rising 1 was one of the most successful idle RPGs in the category in South Korea, topping the revenue charts for eight consecutive months,” Planetarium Labs Publisher-in-Chief Jake Lee told Web3Gamer.

He added: “It's a living and proven IP that has successfully logged millions of Web2 users with a loyal player base.

Although the popular traditional game has been ported to Web3 and is being marketed, he explains that the game won't immediately jump players to Web3. Some features will be gradually introduced over the next few months.

“Web3 features will be introduced in the coming months, and our goal is to naturally bridge the gap between the two audiences,” he added.
