Polygon and Starware have announced Circle Starks to streamline Zk certifications
Polygon Labs and StarkWare have teamed up for the ZK pack on Circle STARKs. Circle STARKs promise fast and cheap transactions for Lab-2 networks. The collective effort demonstrates a commitment to innovation in the Ethereum landscape.
Polygon Labs and StarWare, particularly fierce competitors in the Ethereum scaling race, have put aside their rivalry to show new frontiers in cryptographic proofs, dubbed “Circle Starks.”
StarkWare, known for its involvement in the controversial Starknet blockchain, is a prominent developer in the layer-2 space. On the other hand, Polygon, along with the widely used MATIC tokens, is a key player in Ethereum's scaling efforts.
This unexpected collaboration demonstrates the industry's commitment to overcoming growth challenges and leading technological advancements.
Acceleration of Zk scrolls that confirm the process
Circle STARKs Zero Knowledge (Zk) package promises to streamline the verification process, resulting in faster and more cost-effective transactions compared to existing technologies.
Circle Starks represent a leap forward in Zk technology, specifically tailored for Lab-2 networks. It aims to increase the efficiency of blockchain transactions by significantly speeding up the settlement process. Starkware co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson promises a seven- to 10-fold improvement in cryptographic authentication.
The Plonky3 authentication system from Polygon is planned to integrate Circle STARKs, ensuring lower transaction fees for users and expanding the scope of applications that can be authenticated.
The co-founders of the two crypto companies emphasized that while Circle STARKs represent a significant advance, the journey does not end there. Reflecting the dynamic nature of blockchain technology, they expect continued discoveries and improvements.
