Polymarket, backed by Elon Musk, has shown that it will lead Trump in the US elections.

Us Election 2024

The race to become the next president of the United States has come down to two main candidates: Donald Trump with the Republican Party and Kamala Harris, who took over from Biden after his early resignation. Various polls have been used to reveal the likely winner of the 2024 general election.

However, tech billionaire Elon Musk, who publicly endorsed Trump to win the presidential election, pointed out that Polymarket's decentralized prediction market platform is more accurate than regular polls. Moreover, Musk believes that Polymarket represents people's interest in real money online.

As of this report, Trump is leading Kamala by about 3 percent on the Polymarket platform. Polymarket had more than $311 million in support for Trump and about $256 million for Kamala.

Musk remains committed to making sure Trump wins.

After officially endorsing Trump as the next president of the United States, Musk continues to use his influence to sway voters from swing states. Earlier today, Musk confirmed that his America PAC will offer $47 to every registered voter to sign a petition to support free speech and another registered voter to demonstrate the right to bear arms.

“The goal is to get 1M voters in swing states to support the right to free speech and to bear arms.”

Big picture

With more than 50 million registered American voters invested in the digital space, the issue of crypto is expected to play an important role in the upcoming US general election. The Biden administration has been criticized for its enforcement of the crypto space through the US SEC.

For example, the US SEC has apologized in court for using the term ‘crypto securities' without a course. However, the US SEC continues to pursue crypto companies led by Ripple Labs for allegedly offering unregistered securities.

In addition to appointing a crypto committee in his administration, Trump also promised to support the crypto space by firing chairman Gary Gensler. Additionally, Trump has promised to commute Ross Ulbricht's double life sentence if elected later this year.
