Readyverse Studios released an open trailer for the Metaverse Battle Royale game

Futurverse Studios and Readyverse, co-founded by Ready Player One writer Ernest Cline and producer Dan Farah, have launched the first official trailer for the third-person battle royale video game Op.

The new game was developed in concert with Walker Labs, the creator of the 2022 open-world shooter Walker World. It is the first major game title developed for Cline's Readyverse. According to the game's website, it features multiple genres, intellectual properties (IPs), and environments:

“Open, the Height experience in the Readyverse, is the first genre-defining AAA metaverse game experience to integrate high-end IP with Web 3 technology. A multi-biome, multi-IP, multi-mode gaming experience allows you to interact with your favorite IP in a variety of formats, from simple skins to fully immersive experiences.

As Cointelegraph reported in January 2024, Redivers will also bring back iconic properties, environments, and gameplay from the Ready Player One franchise, and will also tap into Warner Bros' IPs.

This has been confirmed in the newly launched trailer. Although it's only 60 seconds long, discerning viewers will notice a Nintendo Entertainment System, an Atari 2600, a DMC Delorean with a time machine from Back to The Future, and a giant robot that could relate to the world of Ready Player One. Although it doesn't look like the Iron Giant or Gundam from the movie. Also, the robot could be Jaeger from Warner Bros. The Pacific Rim film series.

At the beginning and end of the video, an ornate bronze-colored button and a stuffed frog were in the background, respectively, but Cointelegraph didn't immediately recognize them.

While no gameplay has been shown yet, Open has been announced as a third-person battle royale. This shows that it will have similar functionality to other popular shooters, with Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite being the most recent examples.

Rediverse is said to “defeat the principles of an open metaverse.” According to previous statements, this includes security, decentralization and digital ownership. This could mean that players can move characters and game assets from one location to another, which could be a metamarket movement similar to Invincible Tokens.
