Ronin’s Katana DEX begins v3 upgrade with reduced rewards
Ronin Network has announced the v3 update of its decentralized exchange (DEX) Katana, which aims to increase trading efficiency and capital utilization.
If things go according to plan, Ronin said the DEX will begin supporting consolidated liquidity pools in November. The new update should bring more trading depth and less slippage, increasing the efficiency of traders and Liquidity Providers (LPs) using the DEX.
The update brings new features, including customizable payments and enhanced liquidity. These features allow LPs to set more accurate profit margins and risk levels. Ronin added that this will support the treasury.
According to Ronin, the upgrade will improve the efficiency and liquidity of DEX Capital. Reduces the need for high RON emission in the liquid program.
Ronin reduces Katana DEX liquid rewards by 50%
On February 15th, Ronin announced that the rewards for the Katana Liquid Mining program would be reduced by 75%. It will be divided into two phases, phase one will be implemented already in March.
Ronin said he would further halve the reward amount. According to the network, this liquidity will promote greater capital efficiency. Ronin also noted that this would allow for deep liquidity on the network.
Ronin says that as the token size and liquidity grows, the importance of “annoying” rewards will decrease. He added that the second phase of the blockchain network will take effect on November 26, when rewards will be halved again.
According to the network, phase two of the reward adjustment will save around 2.7 million RON tokens per quarter. The network said this would reduce the inflation of the RON without affecting its liquidity. The forum stated that the adjustment in the first phase achieved this result.

Ronin's cross chain bridge is guarded by Chainlink.
The move follows Ronin's efforts to improve its ecosystem. On October 10, the block strengthened the bridge's security by integrating the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), an interchain messaging protocol.
Ronin said the integration will improve user experience and free up resources to accelerate Ronin adoption.
