The Singapore-based company launched the A4 line through its Sealminer brand, the in-house ASIC division that Bitdir uses to design and manufacture its own mining hardware. The series runs on Bitdeer's latest SEAL04 chips, built on advanced processing NodesAnd it represents a clear move by the company to compete directly with established hardware makers like Bitmain and MicroBT.
Three models make up the A4 series, each targeting different deployment situations. The A4 Ultra Hydro, the flagship hydro-cooled unit, delivers 886 terahertz per second (TH/s) at 8,372.7 watts with an efficiency of 9.45 J/TH. A4 Pro Hydro achieves 680 TH/s at 7,412 watts at 10.9 J/TH. The A4 Pro Air, the air conditioning option, 336 TH / s at 3,662.4 watts, also rated at 10.9 J / TH.
BitDeer maintains a tolerance of plus or minus 5% on power efficiency and Hashrate And power consumption holds a tolerance of plus or minus 10%. The A4 Ultra Hydro's 9.45 J/TH rating represents a significant improvement over Bitdeer's previous generation. The Sealminer A3 series launched in September 2025 found between 12.5 and 14 J/TH.
Earlier A2 Pro units ran at 14.9 J/TH. Each generation BitDeer has moved closer to the sub-10 J/TH threshold targeted at the machine level. Low efficiency figures directly reduce electricity costs in bitcoin mining. That is now important for operators. Bitcoin hashprice has been under pressure since April 2024, halving rewards from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC, squeezing margins for miners operating on older and less efficient hardware.
Hydro-cooling models are designed for high-density data center deployments where thermal management is a limitation. Both hydraulic units offer a low noise profile alongside optimized thermal performance, which Bitdeer says supports machine stability and uptime. The A4 Pro provides flexibility for sites that cannot support air-liquid cooling infrastructure.
BitDeer operates as a vertically integrated supplier, managing chip design, machine manufacturing and data center operations in the United States, Norway, Bhutan and Ethiopia. The A4 rigs are expected to support both external hardware sales and Bitdeer's internal self-mining fleet, which the company continues to expand with Sealminer deployments.
BTDR shares fell 1% on the day of the announcement, which is not very similar to how the stock has reacted to previous hardware launch events. BitDeer did not disclose pricing, pre-order details or shipping times in the announcement. Bitdeer's ad page has not yet been updated with A4 specs at the time of reporting.
The launch of the A4 extends BitDeer's chip development roadmap, which has targeted roughly 5 J/TH per chip level in future generations. The company has previously demonstrated sub-10 J/TH results in chip-level benchmarks under optimized conditions, and the A4 brings that performance to commercially available hardware.
Bitdir's vertical integration strategy means it controls costs and specifications across the entire supply chain, rather than buying chips from third-party foundries or competing machines. That model gives the company more control over hardware output and timing, although it also concentrates R&D risk.
