SoMon recently launched an app on Base with the vision of creating a decentralized Web3 forum space for user-owned content and communication, and has received over 300,000 on-chain transactions within 14 days of its launch. And the fastest growing social application in the Web3 space.

Somon, short for Social Monster, allows users to monetize and create communities (tribes) around their favorite topics, emotions, creators and fans. The first app built on the OpenSocial Protocol, an infrastructure layer for building social apps, and also the first Web3 social app that's truly gas-free, allowing sign-in and onboarding users beyond the crypto community.

A month after launching the mobile app on June 19, 2024, it has collected more than 30,000 chain subscriptions within two weeks. Today, the community is growing rapidly, with over 2 million social engagements from 300+ different tribes (communities) and 80,000+ users.

The new feature for Somon users After its release on July 17, 2024, they started creating their own clans using various tools and proprietary NFT technology. Users create content and the platform is powered by a device called ‘megaphone' that allows users to pay. Promotional visibility, revenue is redistributed to tribal owners and stakeholders.

SoMon is currently in its first season ending on 31 July 2024. During this season, users compete to earn points through interactions and earn badges by climbing into different leagues. At the end of the season, Salmon will officially launch the community token $OwO, which will be released to the community at the end of the first season, and the first airdrop will release 3% of the total supply on August 1, 2024, and 1% of the total supply for the following seasons.

In the coming seasons, Somon will focus on enabling the community economy through the Summer of Clans campaign, allowing users to create and participate in their own bot-free communities.
