StepN has announced a $30M airdrop for users of the Move to Revenue protocol

Built on the Solana blockchain, StepN has moved to access lifestyle and is releasing 100 million FSL points to its users over the air, worth around $30 million.

According to the April 10 announcement, the FSL points are redeemable at a 1:1 ratio for the StepN GMT token and can also be used in the upcoming StepN nonfungible token (NFT) mints alongside earning special rewards. Shithi Mangani, CEO of StepN said, “We decided to launch this massive airdrop campaign as a token of appreciation to our most loyal community members.

“This week's first airdrop was dedicated to our badge-holder top players,” StepN wrote, “who are playing really hard.” For them, we aired the FSL point allocation based on the complexity of their in-app achievements.

To claim the points, users must register for an FSL ID, which is created by the name developer and manages the StepN ecosystem. From there, users can spend FSL points on the ecosystem's NFT marketplace Moore and the strategy game Gas Hero. The $30 million airdrop will continue through the end of April.

Created by FSL in 2021, StepN allows users to earn rewards by walking, running or jogging. Rewards are available after users purchase a virtual sneaker NFT and connect their smartphones. Rewards are given in the form of GMT tokens, which are inflation-adjusted, with a supply of 6 billion and a current diluted market capitalization of $1.57 billion.

GMT tokens earned by players can be used to craft new sneakers or level up in the game. In the in-app marketplace, players can rent or sell their NFT tokens, and their GMT earnings are stored in an in-app wallet, which features a built-in exchange function. The lifestyle app currently has over 5 million users.
