Stripe Partners With Google To Bring Ai Shopping Into Gemini And Ai Mode

Stripe has announced a partnership with Google that will allow businesses to sell products directly in AI Mode and the Gemini app, expanding its push to cover AI business payments.

The integration is part of Stripe's broader agency commerce suite, which helps merchants offer products in AI applications, and comes with the release of 288 new products and features. Queens, Fanatics and Jedi Sports are expected to join the Google integration, following Stripe's previous partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft and Meta.

The Stripe suite is also coming to platforms including Wix, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, allowing merchants to sell with AI apps without having to build separate integrations.

The company has launched Link Wallets for Agents, which allows users to authorize AI agents to make payments on their behalf and hide real payment details with single-use cards and approval controls.

Stripe introduced streaming payments for AI companies, combining Metronome tracking with Stablecoin micropayments on the Tempo blockchain. The product is designed to allow businesses to instantly pay for tokens when AI usage occurs.

Stripe has also expanded its radar to protect AI companies from token theft and abuse of free trials: using Stripe, it says one in six attempts to sign up for AI services comes from bad actors.
