While XRP has seen good growth amid recent Ripple news, SUI is the top performing altcoin among the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. The altcoin, is currently ranked 37.Th With a market value of $2.1 billion, it has increased by 29% in 24 hours – more than Ethereum, Solana and XRP, which fell below $0.60 after a sharp increase on Thursday.
The Sui price hovers around $0.83, the highest level since July 22. Raoul Pal, founder and CEO of Real Vision, predicts that the Layer-1 blockchain native token could be one of the top coins to watch this cycle.
Paul Suein, Solana's main backer, describes it as “a super-fast L1, super-efficient, full blockchain ecosystem out of the MetaDeem project.”
“$SUI is starting to look very interesting in terms of value, although it's still early and unproven, it's showing signs of breaking out in most tokens,” Real Vision CEO wrote in a post on X.
In addition to USD, SUI is showing potential breakout patterns on Aptos, Celestia, Near Protocol and Avalanche. Pal also noted that the altcoin is showing the same direction as the SUI/BTC and SUI/SOL pairs.
Looking at SUI/USD, the daily chart of the pair is above the descending channel resistance line and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is above the 50 point market to indicate that bulls are strong.
A bullish crossover for the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator also suggests that the high gains seen over the past two days may extend to the upside for buyers.
Pudlana Price Prediction: Will POODL Explode?
While L1 tokens such as Sui are able to test recent highs, the meme coin market remains one of the most volatile sectors. Popular projects like Dowfet, Bonk and Brett continue to be delayed after making major gains from the start.
