Tap to find games come to TikTok
Sonic SVM, a layer-2 gaming chain on Solana, has launched Tap to Find on TikTok and is partnering with influencers to promote it. Although not a mini app like the ones on Telegram, users can open a website using TTalk's in-app browser to access the game.
Tap to Earn games made their way to TikTok with the launch of SonicX, a game similar to NotCoin, which involves tapping to find rings that allow players to improve and progress through the game, eventually collecting points to start a token.
The game includes a social login that allows users to register/login with their Tik Tok account to track their points and ultimately claim tokens.
SonicX stands out from other games on Tons by registering every tap as a transaction on the Solana network, a feature that, if implemented, could significantly increase transaction volume on Solana and promote Sonic SVM as a dynamic game layer. .
Adding games that tap to find
Although SonicX is the first touch game to be found on Tik Tok, it is another in a series of games to hit the market. Tons of Notcoin-powered, tap-to-earn games take advantage of their simplicity and promise of cash rewards.
These games do not require users to have deep blockchain knowledge to play, and are engaging enough to chase a cash prize in tokens.
Moving beyond Telegram
With over 900 million monthly active users and ample crypto support, Telegram has proven to be a great ecosystem for games. The acquisition movement brought 300 million players to Telegram.
While most other tap-to-find games are stuck on Telegram and Tone, SonicX intends to take advantage of TikTok's 1+ billion monthly active users. Sonic SVM aims to capture 1% of TikTok's user base, which is approximately 10 million monthly users.
Despite its name and theme, SonicX is not associated with the Sonic the Hedgehog brand.
