Statue of Satoshi Nakamoto

A statue of Satoshi Nakamoto is located at the Villa Ciani in Lugano and represents the mystery and creativity of the creator of BTC, according to a news release from Tether. The statue honors Satoshi's vision and legacy.

An emphasis on Satoshi's secret is built into the statue, a play on perception to gradually disappear from view as perspective changes. The design symbolizes “Satoshi's retreat from the public eye”.

“The statue of Satoshi Nakamoto is a testament to the revolutionary impact of Bitcoin and the idea of decentralization. Tether CEO Paolo Arduino said Satoshi's decision to step down and let him lead the community represents the true essence of decentralization.

Michele Foletti, mayor of Lugano, said the statue does more than honor Satoshi's legacy.

“Lugano is fast becoming a center for digital innovation, and this monument honors Satoshi Nakamoto but embodies the forward-thinking spirit that drives our city,” said Foletti.

The disappearance of the statue comes just weeks after an HBO documentary unmasked the creator of Bitcoin. However, the HBO Doc seems to have come out to deny that all of these are Satoshi Nakamoto, who disappeared from public life.

Peter Todd, a pioneering cryptographer and early developer of Bitcoin, also said the documentary forced him underground when it came to security issues.
