Teter unveiled the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano
The statue was designed by artist Valentina Picozzi in a way that plays with the viewer's perspective. When the audience changes their position forward or backward, it gradually disappears, and if viewed from the sides, a person focused on the laptop shows the image completely. The image marks Nakamoto's disappearance from the public eye after the decentralized financial system made way.
“This artwork serves as a reminder of the lasting impact of Satoshi's vision, which inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of creative and financial freedom. “It is a great honor to announce this honor to a visionary who has transformed the world of finance and contributed millions worldwide,” said Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
Teter said the statue serves as a reminder that the principles of decentralization and financial sovereignty will continue to thrive, and that Nakamoto's identity has been kept secret. It sits in front of Villa Ciani in Lugano.
