The $1.1B TIA token launch brings October’s crypto openings to almost $2B.
Nearly $2 billion worth of tokens from major projects will be released in October, with 175.75 million Celestia (TIA) tokens — at a current market value of $1.1 billion — making up the largest share of the month's total launches.
According to crypto vesting tracker DropsTab, Celestia will open $1.1 billion in tokens on October 31. The coins are allocated to the first major contributors to the project, research and development, series A and B investors and seed round investors.
Celestia is a modular data access network that aims to help users launch their own blockchains. In the year By 2022, the founders said, the project aims to help developers launch blockchains as easily as deploying smart contracts.
The project became very popular in the last quarter of 2023, driving up the price of TIA tokens until reaching a high of $20.85 on February 10. Since then, Cointelegraph Markets Pro data shows that the price has been trending lower. Currently it is 6.51 US dollars.

Main token will open in October.
In addition to TIA, Web3's social networking project Cheelee, which rewards users for watching videos, is scheduled to raise $300 million in crypto tokens on October 10. According to DropsTab data, the tokens are available to the project's advisors, reserve fund, trading, liquidity, group, community airdrop and private round investors.
The social app blocked withdrawals for Social App Rewards on September 20th, when it got ready for an update on September 24th and enabled withdrawals. Cheelee (CHEEL) tokens dropped from $16 to $12 on the opening day of the launch.
In addition to TIA and CHEEL, other popular openers are Aptos (APT), Arbitrum (ARB), Axie Infinity (AXS), ImmutableX (IMX), GateToken (GT), Starknet (STRK), Internet Computer (ICP), which accounted for 70% of the openings in October. and Etena Labs (ENA). These projects are slated to launch $600 million in crypto tokens.
Aptos is scheduled to release $90 million in crypto tokens on October 12th. These tokens are assigned to the project foundation, key contributors, investors and community.
Arbitrum, Axie Infinity, ImmutableX and GateToken's launches ranged from $50 million to $70 million, while Starknet, Internet Computing and Etena Labs' crypto launches ranged from $20 to $30 million.
