The Crypto bull market is entering its final phase: CryptoQuant
According to data analysis provider CryptoQuant, the cryptocurrency market is now in the “late phase of the current bull cycle” and “caution is advised” for investors.
In the year The bull market that began in January 2023 may reach a cyclical peak in the first quarter or late second quarter of 2025, CryptoQuant contributor Crypto Dan said in a January 6 post.
“With high new investments as well as additional funds from existing investors, it is reasonable to expect that the market is now at the end of this cycle,” he wrote.
In the year In the fourth quarter of 2024, the percentage of Bitcoin (BTC) traded in less than a month increased to 36%, a pattern similar to the previous crypto market peak, according to the post.
This ratio may continue to grow, doubling to four times before correcting as a bear cycle begins, CryptoQuant said.
“Therefore, expectations for higher returns in both Bitcoin and altcoins should remain open,” he wrote.
However, caution is advised from a conservative point of view and with risk management in mind.

Opposing views
CryptoQuant's cautious bull run goes against the view of most analysts who expect it to continue until the end of 2025, which could be corrected in the fourth quarter.
Analysts at Steno Research expect 2025 to be crypto's best year ever, with BTC and Ether (ETH) both smashing all-time highs, among other “impressive positive developments.”
Asset manager Van Eyck expects the crypto bull market to hit a “medium-term high” in the first quarter of 2025 before rising to an all-time high by the end of the year.
“At the peak of the cycle, we project Bitcoin (BTC) to be valued at around $180,000, $6,000 more than Ethereum trades,” VanEck said in a December blog post by digital asset research chief Matthew Siegel.
Similarly, traders in the betting markets, Polymarket and Kalshi, expect BTC and ETH to reach their peak in 2025. In addition, the United States is expected to launch several new crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and establish a strategic Bitcoin portfolio.
