The Crypto Influencer Was Hit With Bot Claims After Receiving The 'Best Content Creator' Award

A crypto influencer has not publicly responded to allegations that he used bots to influence and manipulate social media metrics after winning the “Best Content Creator” award at a crypto event.

A detective known as “ZachXBT” accused the influencer who goes by “Professor Crypto” of using “thousands of bots” to “trick people into thinking you have influence.”

It also implied that the practice could violate the United States Federal Trade Commission's law that “prohibits any person from selling or buying false indicators of social media influence.”

Professor Crypt has not publicly responded to the allegations, but has removed several posts showing him collecting an award for “Best Content Creator” at the DJ Summit in Singapore on September 17.

Meanwhile, other industry analysts say they had never heard of Professor Crypto before receiving the award.

“Who is Professor Krypto???” asked NFT artist Matthew Varnell.

“I've been around longer than the stars have burned, and I have exactly one thing in common with this label (who I added last week),” says Wildcat Labs founder Lawrence Day.

Professor Crypto did not immediately respond to Cointelegraph's request for comment on the allegations.
