The famous pink dresser retired after reaching the $85 million theft milestone
In a surprise Telegram announcement, popular crypto-wallet draining kit Pink Drainer has announced it will be retiring after reaching its goal of helping steal more than $85 million worth of crypto assets.
“After the publication of this message, we will start dismantling all our infrastructure. All stored data will be erased and securely disposed of.
Speaking to Cointelegraph, Pink, the developer behind the encrypted messaging service Channel, said, “I don't want to comment. bye.”
Rose then deleted the entire Telegram chat record.
CryptoSleuth ZachXBT has provided a script for the PinkDrainer Telegram channel's final announcement that the drain service has been shut down after more than $75 million was stolen.
PeckShieldAlert also reported on the shutdown, notifying the community that PinkDrainer addresses have deposited a total of 18.1 million Dai (DAI) into Spark, which is around 1.35% of the total sDAI tokens.
According to Dune Analytics, more than $85 million has been stolen from 21,100 victims since July 2023.

Pink Drainer's Telegram channel has been changed to “Bonadifier”. The channel now features Bonad – a mentally disabled waterspout – and the message “Don't forget what he took from you”.
Pink Drainer's Cybercriminal Toolkit By 2023, more than 9,000 “participants” had helped steal $53 million. The security researcher behind PinkDrainer defended the service, saying, “I don't do phishing, I just catch code.”

Pink Drainer's announcement continues the pattern of high-profile drains in the crypto-draining space. In the year In November 2023, Inferno Drainer was shut down after helping steal $70 million, previously shut down in March 2023 after Monkey Drainer helped steal $13 million.
While the shutdown of sewer services may provide some temporary relief for crypto users, the existence of other sewers such as Angel Drainer suggests that the threat is far from over. In February, Angel Drainer stole more than $400,000 from 128 crypto wallets after targeting users with malicious Safe Vault contracts.
