The Hamster Combat user has dropped ‘expectations’ but the team plans to ‘re-engage’
Web3 game Hamster Kombat plans to “re-engage” with season one participants and attract new users despite a drop in monthly active users (MAU).
While the popular Telegram clicker game broke records in August to reach 300 million users, the hype has cooled, leaving the game with just 30 million MAUs. Still, a Hamster Kombat spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the drop was in line with expectations.
Interest in the Hamster Combat Team rises and falls but grows again with any project. “This is to be expected as our project has seasons. We are currently preparing to launch the second season,” the spokesperson said. “Midway through this season, our MAU metric remains above 30 million, indicating continued demand.”
The spokesperson added that the team is “planning to re-engage” with season one participants while trying to attract new players.
Maintaining a “core group” of players.
On November 14, Hamster Kombat reported a $1.3 billion daily cap and $4 billion in perpetual trading volume for the Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) token. It also reported 11 million tokenholders. A spokesperson told Cointelegraph:
“We now have more than 11 million token holders, which allows us to compete with the main blockchains. We plan to enter new markets by increasing the number of holders.
The team claims to have a “core team” of around 30 million players who are actively participating even after the initial airdrop. A spokesman said: “This is more than the community has been able to do, even before the weather, from many other projects.
Hamster Kombat expects its audience to grow further as new activities are planned in the future.
