The leader of the Ethereum team sees zero interest in cooperation from the university
Peter Szilagyi, head of the Ethereum team, expressed his frustration at the lack of interest in giving students opportunities to collaborate with Ethereum (ETH).
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Szilagyi revealed that he always had no real interest in returning to his old university to give lectures about Ethereum.
He noted that the students seemed more focused on the price of Ethereum than the project itself. ETH has gained 20.10% in the last 30 days. At the time of publication, the current price of ETH is $1,698.72.
“The audience seemed to be hooked on the numbers going up; and the producers were always using it as an advertising campaign.
Over the years I have been asked many times to give talks about #Ethereum at my old university. I did two, but didn't really feel the urge.
The audience seems to hang up in numbers; And the producers always used it as an advertising campaign. 1/4

Szilagyi said he has arranged financial support for 9 students to participate in DevConnector this year, including flights and accommodations. However, he said the students did not know who was sponsoring the initiative.
“I have not met the students myself, but it is expected that someone has. They had no clue where the help was coming from,” he said.
“We'll see that this estimate has generated some interest. Wrote to several old university contacts (including the person I got a grant from) to suggest that some students collaborate on some things (paid).
However, Szilagy said the university neglected to respond to his emails, leaving him in the dark about the results.
“two [weeks] Later, zero FF, not even a response,” he declared.
However, recent reports indicate that there is a growing demand for crypto and blockchain courses in universities.

On February 24, Cointelegraph reported that major companies are helping to drive demand for crypto education.
In recent years, several blue-chip companies, including Oracle, Amazon and Google, have actively hired people with crypto and blockchain expertise to help develop blockchain products.
It has also been suggested that information systems students are increasingly interested in learning about decentralized applications.
In recent news, France has now opened a Crypto-Assets Institute. The institute supports and conducts research related to blockchain technology and crypto.
