2 months ago Benito Santiago
October is almost in the rearview, which means it's time to stop playing horror games and look forward to the new month ahead.
Except we have a game from the original director of Silent Hill, a PC release of the console classic with a beloved zombie-themed expansion, a puzzle game about murder, and this month a badass post-apocalyptic sci-fi game for you.
So maybe we'll continue with the horror games. Don't worry, though, the list also includes Mario, Tetris, LEGOs, and a 2D platformer. Here are the most exciting things coming to game stores and shelves in the coming month.
Editor's Note: All of the games on this month's list are traditional “Web2” video games with unknown crypto or blockchain components. But you can love them anyway.

LEGO Horizon Adventures
Release Date: November 14 Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5
We're not sure who requested the LEGO version of Sony's Horizon series, since then LEGO games are often based on popular franchises such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and Batman. Longtime LEGO game developer TT Games isn't even involved in this title, instead Guerrilla Games develops it in collaboration with LEGO and Studio Gobo.
One unique feature in Horizon Adventures is that for the first time everything in the game is built from LEGO bricks. Previous games featured toy-style buildings, but most of the items in the game weren't things you could build in real life. We're excited to see how the developers integrate the kid-friendly nature of LEGO with the decidedly adult post-apocalyptic (that's two posts) story of Horizon Zero Dawn.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl
Release Date: November 20 Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S
The developers behind STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl have a tall order ahead of them. The original Stalker is still beloved by fans for its exceptional brutality in first-person survival of the apocalypse. STALKER 2 has 17 years of fanfare to live up to—not to mention its short-lived plan to use INFTs, which was canceled after a major eclipse in 2021.
Nine soles
Release Date: November 26 Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
Nine Souls is already out on PC. Created by Red Candle Games, developer of the atmospheric horror game Devotion, Nine Souls moves away from 3D horror and into the 2D arena. The art combines Taoism and cyberpunk influences, the developer says, while the game focuses heavily on deviance and is twice inspired by Software's Sekiro: Shadows of Death. That unique blend makes this an incredibly action game worth checking out.
