The most anticipated video games will be released in October 2024

National Lies Month is upon us. It is the time when leaves fall and the dead rise. People celebrate by watching horror movies, holding costume parties, trick-or-treating, and more — but we celebrate with some video games.

Of course, Frank Stone's Drop, Lollipop Chainsaw Repop and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It just came out in SeptemberBut we are waiting for Silent Hill 2 remake to mix it with other popular cheat games.

The horror genre has been particularly kind to gamers over the past few years. Alongside Silent Hill 2, there's Until Dawn Remastered. We're also lucky to have the solid Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, as well as the long-awaited Alan Wake 2 and the experiential horror game, Still Wakes the Deep. And this simply scratches the surface of ways to make the controller buzz in your hand.

Here are the most exciting things coming to the storefronts and shelves of gaming stores in October.

Editor's Note: All of the games on this month's list are traditional “Web2” video games with unknown crypto or blockchain components. But you can love them anyway.

Silent Hill 2

Release Date: October 8 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5

Our first look at the remake of this 2001 game. The Blobber team makes amazing horror games, but a game like Silent Hill was mediocre… well, mediocre (or). middle). However, game recording and that word The Blobber team pushed back We are excited for this game with many changes. Silent Hill 2 was a masterpiece of its time, with stunning visuals and memorable characters—including the debut of a character known colloquially as Pyramid Head.

Dragon Ball Flash! zero

Release Date: October 11 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S

For anime fans, watching game developers master the art of bringing cel-shaded characters to life in games is an exciting process. Dragon Ball Flash! One of the best examples so far is Zero. Dragon Ball fans have been waiting 13 years for this title, and it brings 180 characters from across the series' long history. You can play in story mode, battle other players online, or set up a custom battle to see who will win among millions of long, fiery haired men. This could be the last game for Dragon Ball fans.

Style: ReFantazio

Release Date: October 11 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S

Developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus, Style: ReFantazio is the first game from the developer, founded in 2016 by Persona series director Katsura Hashino. Like the Persona series, Style ReFantazio is an anime-style RPG. It takes place in a medieval world that acts as a mirror to our own world, and you play as an outcast child due to his ability to use forbidden magic – and go on a classic RPG quest. If this title lives up to the quality bar set by Persona 5, it's one to watch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Release Date: October 25 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

Call of Duty has been a staple of the gaming industry for over two decades, and the Black Ops subseries has been a recurring favorite among fans over the years. This year marks the arrival of the sixth Black Ops game, and features the largest collection of content to date, including a campaign mode, extensive multiplayer options, and a solid zombie survival experience. A unique feature of this iteration is the “omnimovement” system that allows you to run, dive and slide with 360 degrees of freedom.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Release Date: October 31 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S

Stay away from trick or treating and wear medieval fantasy armor instead. BioWare released Dragon Age Inquisition 10 full years ago and gave us a huge cliffhanger with the DLC revealing that one of our strongest teammates and potential love interests, Solas, is actually an elven god. And then we had to wait ten years.

At that point, opinion turned sharply on once-infallible developer Bioware, which has since had a string of serious releases, including Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda. As the team focused on making this a standalone single-player RPG rather than something with multiplayer and microtransaction hooks, it's likely a return to form. We're waiting to find out.
