The Parallel Tcg Will Be Released On The Epic Games Store

Toronto, Canada, April 22, 2024, GamingWire

Parallel Studios, a company that fuses art and technology to create immersive gaming experiences, is excited to launch its award-winning trading card game on the Epic Games Store.

With a team like Blizzard, Epic Games, Ubisoft, Riot Games and Xbox Game Studios, Parallels is on course to make waves in the card game world.

Parallels is a free-to-play digital trading card game set in a fantastical science fiction setting where five parallel human evolutions battle for control of Earth 10,000 years in the future. Players collect cards, build 40-card decks by combining cards from the five factions and the Universal Pool, and engage in strategic battles with their peers.

There are several points that distinguish Parallels from other TCGs in the space (eg Magic the Gathering, Hearthstone, etc.).

Free to Play: Players can play and earn cards without any purchase. In addition, Parallels compensates free-to-play players by directly entering weekly and monthly gifts each season. This is on top of the rewards players can earn through in-game tournaments, battle passes, referring friends and winning ranked matches. Bank Cards for Energy: Players strategically choose which cards to pay each turn while gaining energy to play units, artifacts, effects, and upgrades. Players will find it very important to choose which card to bank and which card to play, as the right combination can create a powerful winning strategy. Paragon and Factions: 15 game-changing leaders (Paragon) with 5 unique factions in parallel, each with their own active/passive abilities, helps players create a unique play style. Play at your own pace: Parallels has different game modes for all types of players. Beginners and casual players can enjoy modes like unranked, AI and beginner. Competitive players can participate in the ladder and tournament modes to earn special rewards and prizes.

Parallels is truly built for TCG veterans and players new to the genre.

In the year Founded in 2021, Parallels has already seen some success. Although TCG is still in open beta, the game has already won several awards of the year. The studio announced that it will offer a $500,000 prize for the 2024 show. Along with this, many professional Hearthstone players and famous creators have joined Parallel's ambassador program, making the game the next big TCG. Finally, the studio recently released an expansion pack called “Planetfall” that is currently playable. The expansion adds over 100 cards to the game and the studio plans to release more expansion sets in the future.

From parallel verses

“Our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and joining Epic is a major milestone in our global expansion strategy,” says Sasha M, CEO and co-founder of Parallels.

“Going live on Epic opens us up to millions more players in parallel. This epic expansion coincides with the launch of our globally competitive series Parallel League, which in its first year earned over $500,000 in prize money. But we don't plan to stop there. We plan to increase our prize pool to millions of dollars next year as we roll out more ways to earn and play in parallel. – Franklin Fitch, Head of Partnerships, Parallel Studios
