The PUBG publisher has tapped Circle to integrate the in-game wallet into the new Metaverse
Metaverse-based venture Overdare has announced a partnership with USD coin issuing club to integrate in-game Web3 wallets and USD payments for game content creators.
On February 26, Circle announced a strategic partnership with OverDeer to enable easy crypto payments for game content creators. According to the announcement, Overdare will integrate the stablecoin issuer's Program Wallet service to allow in-game wallets and USD Coin (USDC) payments for in-game content payments. This allows content creators to receive stablecoins in exchange for their game content.
The Overdare Invincible Token (NFT)-driven Metaverse game is a joint venture between software company Naver Z and video game publisher Crafton, known for its role in releasing the popular battle royale game PUBG: Battlegrounds. The project was developed on September 15, 2023 as a Roblox-like mobile game powered by Unreal Engine 5.

In addition to the wallet, Circle also highlighted the Metaverse game USDC stablecoin as an alternative way for creators to settle transactions and monetize. Metaverse sees this as an opportunity to help game developers transition from Web2 platforms to the Web3 space.

Overdeer CEO Henry Park expressed the group's excitement in partnering with Kebel. The executive praised the stablecoin issuer's regulatory practices and said the partnership “guarantees that creators can secure their income.”
Jeremy Allaire, founder and CEO of Club, expressed his belief that the collaboration will help shape the “future of digital entertainment” and contribute to developing a Web3 environment for everyone. Allair also highlighted that Web3 wallets and USDC are eager to provide payment support for Overdeer to help the creative economy.
