Bitcoin (BTC) Price Skyrockets To $64K As RFK Jr. When he supports Trump and get out of the US election

Known for prioritizing happiness over wealth, the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan has quietly emerged as a major player in the crypto world. The latest data revealed by Arkham on the X platform shows that the market value of Bhutan's bitcoin holdings has exceeded one billion dollars.

This significant milestone comes as Bitcoin reaches record highs, reflecting growing interest and investment by the Bhutanese government.

The government of Bhutan holds more than 12,500 BTC

According to Arkham Intelligence, Bhutan's state-owned Druk Holdings reportedly has more than 12,500 BTC amassed, a major commitment to digital assets, and growing interest in crypto as a strategic asset.

Druck Holdings now holds exactly $1,033,855,613.15 per coin. While the government has not bought or announced new mining, the ongoing bull run has increased valuations. As of writing, Druck Holdings holds a total of 12,568 BTC, which is roughly $1 billion. It remains in the list of top countries with BTC portfolio.

Other Crypto Holdings

Notably, Bhutan holds other assets in Druck Holdings' wallet. It also contains 656.039 Ethereum worth more than 2 million dollars, 8.889 KIBSHI tokens worth $128.98 and 69 million BOBO tokens worth $98.67.

Bhutan entered the Bitcoin landscape out of economic necessity. After the Covid-19 pandemic, one of its biggest industries, tourism, has been hit hard. As a result, the country mobilized its surplus energy resources and started mining Bitcoin. Bhutan took a more proactive approach by directly investing in Bitcoin mining.

Will America Build a Bitcoin Reserve?

In particular, the United States is looking to build a Bitcoin reserve as promised by Donald Trump during his campaign. If the Trump administration pursues bitcoin stocks, it would mark a significant shift in US financial policy that could impact global markets and usher in a new era in digital asset adoption among nation-states. Corporate companies are taking a significant portion of the remaining Bitcoin in circulation. Just recently, Microstrategy bought an additional 27,200 BTC, taking its total to 279,420 BTC.

Bhutan, which began building its Bitcoin reserves through mining several years ago, is now an example of how smaller countries can explore digital asset adoption. Bhutan's significant investment in Bitcoin highlights its strategic approach to diversifying its financial assets and capitalizing on the potential growth of digital currencies.
