Altcoin sentiment remains sour, but Midnight (NIGHT), HyperLiquid (HYPE) and Monero (XMR) are flashing signs of consolidation and bullish-led strength. This presents an unusual ‘at risk' pocket in a weak market heading into early February 2026.

Our analysis identified three indicators as candidates for new top ratings, with improving roadmap process and cash flow indicators as key drivers. While the broader market is showing heightened fear, capital is turning to projects with clear growth rates or long narratives such as privacy and decentralized commerce.

Technical intervals for night, HIP and XMR

Midnight ($0.047, -4.3%) Q1 2026 roadmap centered on the ‘Cuckoo' phase. This level provides a stable core network with trusted authenticators and privacy-first applications, according to the January update.

Technical indicators such as Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) are trending higher, indicating that outflows are slowing. A key level to recover from is $0.053, with a possible return to the previous all-time high near $0.120.

Meanwhile, Hyperliquid's CMF has moved above zero, suggesting that inflows are now dominant. HYPE's price at $33.74 also shows a reported -0.22 correlation with Bitcoin, indicating more neutral price action. Open interest on the decentralized perpetual exchange rose to $793M around January 26-27, up from $260M a month earlier. This indicates a growing interest in the market structure of the contributors.

Monero is trading around $305 after a sharp 30% correction in 11 days. The Money Flow Index (MFI) suggests that selling pressure is nearing exhaustion. Monero, a privacy coin launched in 2014, carries an enduring narrative focused on fungibility and censorship resistance.

A flight to quality in the midst of market fragmentation

While the broad altcoin indices are weak, dispersion is the main theme. The performance of these three signs is not random. It is a flight to quality in certain narratives. Midnight represents the development of privacy-enhancing L1s. Hyperliquid reflects the growing market share of high-performing decentralized derivatives platforms.

Monero's resilience reflects the constant and unpredictable demand for private transactions. For the table trader, these are not broken altcoin games. They are bets targeting mature crypto subsectors that are showing independent strength against a risk-free macro backdrop.
