Dogechain To Cease Operations: Withdraw Dogecoin (Doge) Now

DogeChain, a popular platform for managing Dogecoin transactions, has announced that it will shut down on June 1, 2024.

The platform urges users to quickly transfer their DOGE tokens to other wallets and secure their private keys before the shutdown.

Dogecoin (DOGE) wallet closure announced

An announcement on the DogeChain website indicates the end of a key service in the Dogecoin community. This platform has been essential for many years to store, send and receive Dogecoin.

In fact, it was more than a DOGE wallet, it was an integral part of the Dogecoin ecosystem. Running on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and powered by Polygon (MATIC), DogeChain provides a Layer-2 scaling solution. This setup facilitated fast, cost-effective transactions and made NFTs, blockchain-based games and DeFi services accessible to Dogecoin holders.

The platform now advises users to move their assets quickly and prevent potential losses.

“Be sure to transfer DOGE from DogeChain.info (just use the info domain!) by June 1st. Also, if you continue to use these addresses, keep a copy of your private keys, as this will allow you to accidentally recover any funds that were forwarded or received,” said Dogecoin developer Mishaboar.
