Star NFL quarterback Tom Brady took a dig at crypto investments during Sunday's 3-hour live Netflix comedy roast.
“The Roast of Tom Brady,” which was taped and is still available to watch on the streaming platform, featured several jokes about Brady's relationship. Bitcoin And its relationship with crypto exchange FTX. And it didn't take long for crypto jokes to appear.
Within the first five minutes of the comedy special, host and comedian Kevin Hart delivered a speech that was the elephant in the room.
“Now, now, I know what you're asking yourselves. You guys, why didn't we go to the Crypto.com Arena Downtown? You're saying the reason we didn't go there was because we didn't.” Tom cooked those guys.”
Hart appears to be referring to Brady's time as a spokesperson for Crypto.com's former competitor FTX.

Brady and his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, announced in 2021 that they will take an equity stake in FTX. The famous couple have appeared in a series of commercials and live events with FTX founder – and criminal – Sam Bankman-Fried.
But after the exchange collapsed, it was revealed that they were fully paid $30 million in FTT, the official symbol of FTX, which crashed dramatically before FTX filed for bankruptcy. Now, because of their work promoting FTX, both Brady and Bündchen have been named in a class action lawsuit filed by FTX investors and a customer seeking to hold them accountable for encouraging people to use the exchange.
Several celebrities have reached settlements, including Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and YouTube influencers Tom Nash and Kevin Paffratt. But Brady and Bundchen are still accused in the case.
That's why, perhaps, Brady looked unsettled when comedian Nikki Glaser mocked him for doing business with FTX.
“Tom also lost $30 million in crypto. Tom, how did you fall for that? Even Gronk said, ‘I know it's not real money,'” Glazer said. “Gronk actually does Bitcoin, where he just chews on a handful of nickels.”
The “Gronk” she's referring to is Brady's longtime teammate, NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski. In the year At some point in 2021, Gronkowski announced that he would be joining the Brady's Autograph NFT platform.
