Telegram game Tomarket is expected to launch its Toma token on the Open Network (TON) in time for Halloween, and while we don't know what Toka is worth as far as trading goes, the game's developers are betting that some players will be willing to shell out money. Walk to increase their classification.
On Monday, Tomarket revealed that it has sold out Premium Medallion, an item that offers users various benefits, including the upcoming Airdrop.
Specifically, the in-game medal provides a “bonus multiplier on your TOMA allocation” with “100% tokens”.
In other words, players who purchase the item will see some unspecified increase in the amount of tokens they earn in-game, while another bonus suggests that the game won't immediately give players a share of their earnings — without purchasing the medal, that is.
Hamster Kombat has similarly held back a slew of player tokens for months, even though the wildly popular game didn't offer a way to spend money to unlock your entire classification from the start.
Tomarket hasn't released details about token vesting or multipliers yet, but it's selling the premium medal feature for 1 ton or 250 Telegram stars—roughly $5 either way.
Only about 200,000 of the items are available for purchase, according to the developers, though it's unclear how many are left. Reach out to Decrypt to learn more.
In any case, the item offers a “bonus multiplier” with “additional benefits” on another upcoming feature or service, the in-game screen suggests.
A Tomarket representative explained to DecryptGG that players will receive their weather allocation within 24 hours of the token generation event, which is on Thursday, October 21 at approximately 12pm ET.
On Tuesday, the developers of Tomarket, which has garnered more than 40 million players since last week, said the game will add a “farm pool” feature following the launch of the token. The feature allows TMA owners to access token farming opportunities for new projects, with the ability to earn by referring friends to such projects.
