Ton blockchain has experienced another network outage.
Less than 24 hours after Ton blockchain was extended, another network outage was hit.
According to Ton's report, the congestion associated with the DOGS air drop is the main reason.
The Open Network (TON) blockchain has experienced another halt in block production. Reports of the outage come less than 24 hours after Ton returned online after more than six hours.
On Wednesday, the Ton Blockchain announced that the network overload had been resolved and that the Telegram-linked blockchain had “come back online”. However, the network has stopped processing transactions, the platform will provide an update to this effect.
“Block production on Ton experiencing outage from 19:19 UTC,” Ton wrote on X. “DoGS appears to be due to the heavy burden of token mining. Ton Core is working on a solution.
User assets were “not at risk,” according to the update.
Block production on the ton while experiencing further disruption
Blocking production issues started at 19:19 UTC. The outage appears to be due to a heavy load caused by the creation of the DOGS token. Ton Core is working on a solution.
We will keep you posted as the situation improves.

Tons of network outages during the arrest of Telegram's CEO
Ton also said Tuesday's downtime was due to congestion on the network after the DOGS airdrop. Various top exchanges supported the airdrop, with Binance and Bybit among those delaying the broadcast amid TON network issues.
The surge in activity also comes as Telegram CEO Pavel Durov faces multiple charges related to the messaging app. Durov was arrested in France late Saturday and held in police custody for 96 hours. The police released him from prison on August 28, 2007.
The events surrounding the TON network outage and Durov's arrest caused the Toncoin (TON) token to crash.
After a brief recovery above $5.75, TON token is back below $5.50. Despite some losses since Saturday, Toncoin's price is down 18% in the past week.
