Travel booking site Travala gets Telegram Open Network integration


Travala, an innovative crypto-native travel booking company, has announced an integration with Telegram's open network, allowing Toncoin (TON) holders to book airline tickets, hotels and tours with their tokens.

The booking company supports payments in market giants such as Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), Ether (ETH) and others. In total, Travala accepts 127 payment methods for travel bookings. Travala CEO Juan Otero said when the new merger was announced.

“Continuing our commitment to mass cryptocurrency adoption, we are excited to partner with TonCoin to advance the crypto community and bring tons of new real-world use cases.”

In the year In 2023, Sleap, an AI-powered travel booking platform, announced a partnership with Kamino Network, a layer-1 blockchain solution for the airline industry.

The partnership aims to provide customers with personalized travel bookings and offers directly to their wallets, while leveraging the Camino Network's architecture to create a universal messaging platform for hotels, airlines and local tour operators.

Recently, in February, Japan Airlines announced the launch of the Kyoko Virtual Token (NFT) project. The NFT Collection provides holders with exclusive access to unique Japanese travel experiences not listed with major travel booking agencies and travel tour companies.

One of the NFTs allows holders to spend two days and one night with a 400-year-old samurai heritage family in a historic samurai mansion. Another Kyoko NFT gives holders the chance to create and exhibit artwork with Japanese light artist Yasuhiro Chida at the Tangashima Space Art Festival. Owners of this NFT can share in the profits of the collaborative artwork.

Projects like GroundSync are trying to reduce costly airline delays by using blockchain to record every aspect of commercial jet refueling and maintenance processes between flights. This significantly reduces airport time and increases profit margins eroded by frequency of connections and delays.
