Tron’s new memecoin deployment pump.fun will be copied
Sunpump, a new memecoin deployer on the Tron Network, has now surpassed Solana-based predecessor Pump.fun in daily activity and revenue.
In the year In an August 21 post on X, blockchain researcher Adam Tehke noted that revenue and new tokens created on Sunpump closed the day higher than comparable metrics on Pump.fun.
Citing data from Dune Analytics, Tehc said 7,351 tokens were launched on SunPump and the platform generated $585,000 in revenue in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Pump.fun generated 6,701 new tokens and generated $366,000 in revenue during the same time frame.
The latest move comes 12 days after the launch of the SunPump platform on August 9. The protocol has generated over $1.5 million in revenue and has seen over 25,000 new memecoins since its inception.
Several memecoins launched on SunPump have rallied above valuations, with one trader turning $1,000 into $750,000 in a token called SunWukong. Other memecoins like SunDog have raised valuations as high as $270 million.
The memecoin developer's popularity has been a boon for the Tron network, with Tron earning a record $3.48 million in the past 24 hours, a figure similar to the $3.48 million earned the day before, according to DiFilama data.

Alongside the new memecoin deployment, liquidity is pouring into the Tron ecosystem, largely aided by Tron founder Justin Sun's $10 million Meme Ecosystem Incentive Program.
Stablecoin issuer Tether also made 1 billion Ter (USDT) on the Tron blockchain on August 20.
While many critics have slammed memecoins as “disruptive” to the crypto industry, Sun has taken a bullish stance on speculative assets, saying the success of memecoins is “no accident.”
