The role will be the first crypto-specific White House post underlining the significant role of the crypto industry in the Trump administration. Trump's transition team is considering appointing current and former CFTC officials to chair the financial regulatory agency. However, it is unclear whether the position is more akin to a top staff position in the White House or a “crito czar.”
