Uniswap to charge 0.15% exchange fees from October 17
Decentralized exchange Uniswap (UNI) will begin charging a 0.15% exchange fee on certain tokens on its web application and wallet on October 17.
According to a post by DX founder Hayden Adams, the affected tokens are Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), Bundle Ether (WETH), Tether (USDT), DAI, Bundle Bitcoin (WBTC), Angular Protocol (agEUR). ), Set Dollar (GUSD), Liquid Dollar (LUSD), Euro Coin (EUROC) and StraitsX (XSGD).
Interface charges are deducted from the resulting token amount. Additionally, no fees are collected on exchanges between Ether and wrapped Ether trading pairs or inter-stablecoin swaps.
I work in crypto because of its huge positive impact on the world, removing gatekeepers and increasing access to value and ownership.
I'm proud of the way @Uniswap Labs has contributed to that effort and want to make sure we continue to create…

“This interface fee is one of the lowest in the industry, and allows us to continue to research, develop, build, ship, improve and expand,” Adams wrote, referring to new developments in the Uniswap ecosystem. Like “iOS wallet, Android wallet, UniswapX, major improvements to our web app, Permit2, Uniswap v4 draft codebase and more.”
Uniswap is currently one of the most popular DEXs in the industry. According to DeFillama data, DEX is currently locked in $3 billion in total value, generating more than $271 million in annual protocol fee revenue. Since its founding in 2018, it has raised $12 million in its coffers and $176 million from investors.
Cointelegraph previously reported on September 27 that the Uniswap Foundation, the DEX developer, is targeting $62 million in additional funding for infrastructure and ecosystem grants. On October 15, a new hook on the open source directory for Uniswap V4, which requires know-your-customer verification before trading in DX liquidity pools, caused controversy.
