Use cases, not greed, will drive the industry forward: Crypto panel at Davos
A number of experts addressed issues related to the role of social media and influencers in the crypto space at the World Crypto Forum (WCF) in Davos.
Speaking at WCF Crypto2030 on January 15, Cointelegraph Ambassador and Editor-at-Large Christina Lurezia Korner spoke with panelists, including Berb Nest Founder and CEO Adrian Zedunczyk about how crypto influencers and media publications can impact the space. According to Koerner, many people outside the industry want to know how to get rich using crypto, but the space offers solutions to various problems with blockchain technology.
“I'd say we're at a level of greed for the industry, and that's what's going to push the entire crypto community forward,” Koerner said. “Of course it's not like 100%. But that's what makes it powerful right now. And I believe that the next circle in the life of this crypto will be in use cases and applications.”

Cointelegraph's editor-at-large considers the motivations behind investors entering the crypto space — perhaps influencers who advertise significant profits. Although many projects in the industry seek to be democratized, there is a risk of attracting new investors through online misinformation or misinformation.
“[T]Those same influencers were the torchbearers of the industry and the thing here is that we are sitting about today because there is no business school that talks about crypto,” added Bilal Bin Saqib, founder of Web3 Pakistan. “Essentially, these are people who have been through bull markets and bear markets, and have stayed through white papers, gone through economics, and spent time and effort meeting and meeting. with certain calls [do your own research] basically”
The WCF is running in parallel with the World Economic Forum event in Davos, where industry leaders and policymakers gather to discuss finance, regulation and other issues affecting the global economy. The Cointelegraph team is on site at the event.
