Vitalik Buterin has an open source solution for Elon Musk’s Microsoft OS issues.
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin believes that the open source operating system (OS) Linux is the perfect solution to Elon Musk's Microsoft Windows OS issues. A day after Musk complained about not being able to install Microsoft's Windows OS on a newly purchased computer without a Microsoft account, he invited it to the desktop Linux community.
Like Windows, iOS, and Mac OS, Linux is an operating system, but unlike most, Linux is open source. Linux OS was first released in September 1991, and over the years, it has gained popularity with its user base. Today's popular mobile operating system, Android, runs on Linux OS.
Open source software has source code available for anyone to view, change, and modify. When the source code of a computer program is available to programmers, they can improve it by adding new features or fixing broken parts.
Buterin is a big time open source advocate; Therefore, his proposal did not come as a surprise to many. Many users have praised Buterin for promoting open source software on X. However, a few others note that Linux may not be the best option for Musk, whose main focus of using the PC will be gaming.
Ever since I used Linux; Good for development, but not sure about gaming. Steam seems to have an installer for Linux.
