Vitalik Buterin is ‘very important’ to Ethereum’s future: experts weigh it.
Echoing the sentiments of many experts in the space, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin was described as “very important” by fellow Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin.
Speaking exclusively to Cointelegraph Managing Editor Gareth Jenkinson on Cointelegraph's Decentralized Talk, Lubin Buterin explained that “even if it goes in a different direction, the ecosystem will be good.”
“[Buterin] It makes a big contribution in terms of high-level roadmap design that people can come up with. He has always considered himself more of a cryptoeconomist than a computer scientist.

Ethereum verification and influence
SafeWallet CEO Lucas Schor spoke with Jenkinson at Safe{Con} in Berlin and highlighted the proven authentication using their Buterin platform.
“People have reported in the past that Vitalik uses Safe. [Wallet] To keep the big bucks.”
Schor spoke about Buterin's influence on the Ethereum ecosystem, among other Ethereum advocates, explaining that Buterin's influence always has “additional influence”.
“In our ecosystem, Vitalik is the person pushing the content department's agenda, and he talks about the challenges he's seen along the way. In doing so, it can have many people then think about how we can solve these challenges, which is very important.

Contribution of EIP-7702
Shore spoke about Buterin's impact on Ethereum's technological development, specifically Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EEP) 7702.
“The main body of 7702 […] Codeless, it's only controlled by a privacy key, but using a private key you can allow a specific code, a specific Spark account to work on your address.
Buterin's EIP-7702 provides a new transaction type that adds a contract_code field to foreign ownership accounts (EOAs).
This means that an EOA can be a smart account for a single transaction, enabling deployment of smart contract features without temporarily changing the structure.

Lubin's vision
Lubin explained Buterin's efforts beyond the decentralized limitations of the Ethereum blockchain:
“[Buterin] You spent a lot of time in Montenegro. There are opportunities there and in other parts of the world for this clash of civilizations to be organized, changing the law and enabling national governments to advance themselves in terms of our technology.
Lubin said he wasn't sure if Buterin wanted to talk about the topic of Montenegro, but explained that Buterin was “public about what's going on in Montenegro.”
On the collaboration between the Ethereum Foundation and Consense, Lubin mentioned that Consense is working “closely with the Ethereum Foundation.”
