Vitalik Buterin Moves $8M Ether To New Wallet – Possible Future Donations?
Vitalik Buterin's address transferred more than $8 million worth of Ether to a new wallet.
Buterin, the founder of the Ethereum network, transferred 3,000 Ether (ETH) tokens worth more than $8 million to a new multi-signature wallet.
In the year According to a report posted by X on August 9 on Loonchain, the transfer may indicate Buterin's intention to make a donation. The blockchain intelligence agency wrote:
“Vitalik.eth transferred $3,000ETH ($8.05M) to multisig vault 20 minutes ago, possibly as a donation.”
The money was sent to an unknown wallet “0xfEB” which may be a charity.

Buterin's history of billion dollar crypto contributions
The $8 million transfer won't be the first time Buterin has made a significant cryptocurrency donation.
In May 2021, Buterin donated over $1.2 billion worth of crypto to India's covid-crypto relief fund.
Buterin has made his billion-dollar charitable transfer with more than 50 trillion Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens, according to blockchain data.
Buterin also sent more than $441 million worth of AKITA coins to the open source bug bounty platform Gitcoin and previously donated a large amount of dog-themed memecoins.

Crypto donations could exceed $10 billion in ten years
Crypto donations are gaining speed and global reach in times of crisis, compared to more efficient donations through the old fiscal system.
