ToggleIs a game a game without bots? I don't think the CEO of Pixel.
Some think that bots in games are a sign of the apocalypse, or maybe it's just developers trying to fill a void trying to look popular.
But Pixel co-founder and CEO Luke Barwikowski counters that if people aren't trying to fill your game with bots, it's probably because the game isn't exactly the talk of the town.
“If people aren't trying to beat your game – it's not because they can't – it's because they don't care enough to do it.”
According to Barwikowski, if you're making a game with no bots and you're praising it, that's nothing to be proud of.
“Having no bots in the ecosystem is not the dynamic you always think,” he declares.
To be honest, bots come with some advantages – such as shorter waiting times for players and a guaranteed opponent whenever you're preparing for a game.
In November last year, anti-botting company Jigger found 200,000 bots by analyzing more than 60 games and services.
40% of all GameFi users are bots, and for certain titles like MetaGear, AnRkey X, and ARIVA it's a whopping 80%. And brace yourself – it's 96% mind-blowing for Karma's Breakfast Zombie.
Web3 Games: The easiest choice to cast shadow for crypto companies
Web3 games have been getting a lot of flak lately, with frequent criticisms including their sky-high crash rates and many games being less fun.
As of 2018, three out of four blockchain games have been flipped, a recent CoinGecko highlights. A staggering 70% of games launched this year have bitten the dust. Still, their numbers are extraordinary, suggesting that the decline rate by 2022 is a mind-boggling 107 percent.
Illivium co-founder and CEO Kieran Warwick isn't second-guessing the numbers. He told the magazine that creating a web3 game was no walk in the park, just like releasing memecoin.
“That makes sense; it's hard for a game to be successful,” he says. “You need a combination of great gameplay, great funding and effective marketing,” he declares.
Although he is on the same page with the masses, NFT games are a disaster.
“When you add the need to create sustainable economic models using bleeding edge blockchain technology, the chances of success decrease again when almost every game released is subpar.”
Fortunately, Warwick believes there is time for these insane failure rates in Web3 Game Reports to turn around.
“Even good games take a long time to build. In the next few years, once the games that have been in development for 3-5 years start to be released, the mood will change rapidly.
Warwick believes there is no magic moment when everyone will abandon regular gaming for Web3. He suggests it's not rocket science; It's just straightforward logic as to when the switch will happen.
“Once players experience a blockchain game as good as the main competitor and own their assets, they won't go back to playing the game,” he says.
Meanwhile, crypto analyst Miles Docher recently told his 383,000 followers that crypto gaming is still small fry in the wider gaming world. But that means it has a lot more potential.
By 2032, the total playing field is expected to reach $610 billion. Crypto gaming is currently valued at $14.5b. That's a 42x difference. We are still very early.”
Hot take: Galaxy Fight Club
Galaxy Fight Club is a PvP fighting game built on the Polygon blockchain. From downloading the game to being able to jump into online shooting chaos with random players in no time at all, it has an impressive turnaround time.
Simulating a game had the same ease of joining the game to Call of Duty or Battlefield.
You can dip your toes in as a guest, get a feel for the game, or go all in by creating an account linked to your crypto wallet.
If you are sitting on some NFT characters – you can bring them into the fray.
However, not being able to communicate with other players in your group is a shame. Sometimes, it feels like you're stuck in the middle of a virtual battle solving a character's mind on screen.

Not trying to be too picky, but those attack buttons are a bit off center. Especially if you're used to playing shooter games on those tiny iPhones, it might feel a bit awkward for your thumb.
The developers compare it to Super Mario Bros., but instead of pitting Pikachu against Mario, they throw a monkey from the Bored Monkey Yacht Club or a cool cat into a fight with Cryptopunk in the game.
But don't worry if you're NFT-less; You can start with a default character and level up from there.
I've been playing the game trying to grab some NFTs for myself. My original NFTs are stuck on a MetaMask account from my lost phone, and I can't seem to trace the seed phrase.
A general beginner's activity.
Fortunately, it's pretty easy to get your hands on NFTs when you win matches.
Score a victory, and you can grab some silver key pieces. Combine those and you might score some lootbox keys to unlock virtual weapons and armor NFTs.
Even better, when you finally get tired of the game, you can cash out.
