World’s Largest BTC Miner Marathon Buys $100M BTC To Go ‘Full Hoddle’
Marathon Digital Holdings acquired $100 million worth of bitcoins last month.
The world's largest Bitcoin (BTC) miner is acquiring BTC as a strategic treasury asset.
Fred Thiel, CEO and Chairman of Marathon Digital, plans to go “full throttle” in a July 25 X post.
“Today Marathon is proud to announce that we bought $100 million in BTC last month to reinforce our holding strategy with Bitcoin as our strategic treasury asset and are now going full HODL @sayler.”
The way Bitcoin is sold by large holders such as mining firms has a significant impact on Bitcoin's price, especially after the 2024 Bitcoin halving, which still forces miners to sell more BTC.
