Yellow Panther: A player who wears many hats

Web3 Games star Yellow Panther wants to set the record straight: it's more than just gaming full-time. Outside of his suit and tie, he's running a multi-operational business.

Speaking to Web3 Gamer at the YGG Play Summit in the Philippines, Yellow Panther, aka “YP,” revealed that being one of Web3's most popular gamers at just 26 years old has helped him “advise many big game companies and projects.” “

“I realized that I have a lot of knowledge and many of them don't have information from the market in the first place, and I was able to use this to make a lot of connections and help these games go to market or advise on how to do it. It took off successfully,” explains the Forbes Web3 Game of the Year creator.

“I'm not the one who thought I'd ever be a consultant,” he laughs, during his Axie Infinity esports days, when he built a loyal fan base and became a regular in the top 100 leaderboards.

The Web2-to-Web3 gamer says creating gaming content for his social media followers is a full-time job in itself. And of course he still needs to play games regularly to stay in good shape. He first earned his money through gaming tournaments.

“So it's a very interesting journey from playing games to doing business and creating content,” he says.

We obviously can't define figures and things like that, but it's very convenient, and not everyone can do it.

Meanwhile, Yellow Panther's many games are ruining their token launches.

“They were very angry at the start of the signs because many of these games are rushed to start, and usually [price] When a chart starts, it goes straight down,” he explains.

“There's not enough fluidity, there's not enough chatter, and the games aren't working properly,” he explained.

He knows why players who spend “months” farming for game airdrops get angry when they finally happen and only spend “10 or 20 bucks”.

“You know you'd rather do a regular Web2 job,” he says.

Co-founder of Web3 Gaming and Crypto Bull Run: Parallels

The crypto bull run sparked by Donald Trump's victory in the United States will create a big boost for Web3 Games, said Sasha Darius Mojtahedi, founder of sci-fi-based competitive card game Parallel.

He told Web3 Gamer at the YGG Play Summit: “I think the downstream effects of the generally positive conversation around crypto will have a material impact on the adoption of these games over the next two to three years.”

Blockchain startups think justice can be decentralized, but the verdict is still out.

But only for games that have survived the tough times of the past few years, not those “illegitimate” or “unsubmitted” game projects,” Mojtahedi explained.

“I associate it with ignorance rather than malice,” he says of his glass-half-full intake.

“A lot of people couldn't deliver, but they wanted to deliver, so let's assume that's true.”

According to Mojtahedi, games on the market today have this huge opportunity in front of them, especially since they no longer have to worry about Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler declaring the safety of their business model.

I think letting that kind of thing go and leaving room for people to recreate opens up all kinds of opportunities for people to be creative and create new experiences that are really meaningful and create new forms of economy.

Parallel's next title is Parallel Colony, an AI-powered Web3 survival simulation game launching in Q1 2025. “You're not the player, AI agents are the player,” he explains.

Mojtahedi is excited to experiment with AI and crypto gaming.

“If there's nothing comparable to it, you have an opportunity to scale it up, because no one has ever tried it before,” he said.

“There is interest and excitement all around,” he adds.

Get ‘Request Rewards' for trying out with YGG

Game development platform Immutable and blockchain game guild protocol product Guild Games have created a $1 million fund to reward players in search of incentives.

“It's more of a game-to-earn perspective, allowing players to get items that they otherwise would have to pay to get,” Unchangeable Chief Studio Officer Justin Hulog told Web3Gamer.

“If you're watching Twitch on the street, Twitch isn't the same as Twitch with drops,” Hulog added.

Basically, any player who plays static games that connect to other Web3 games in the YGG ecosystem can earn rewards like skins, characters, or guardians.

For example, if you're in the Guardians Guild and want to try the Shardbone Tactical Strategy game, the game is part of the YGG ecosystem and you'll earn rewards just for exploring it.
