Yuga Labs, Somnia Collaborate to Unify Metaverse Platforms

Yuga Labs, creators of Board Up Yacht Club NFTs, has announced a new partnership with Somnia, an emerging blockchain technology startup.

This collaboration aims to dramatically increase the interoperability between Yuga Labs' other vast digital realms.

Somnia's high-performance L1 blockchain and innovative omni-chain protocols support hundreds of millions of transactions per second, setting a new standard for communication in the metaverse and gaming ecosystems.

Using these technologies, Yuga Labs offers NFT owners, including Board Up Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club, an improved facility and new incentives.

The partnership will increase the functionality of digital assets by integrating the Somnia protocol with the other party, Metaverse. In addition, it allows avatars to participate in various metaverse events.

Yuga Collection owners will now have the right to display their NFTs, participate in quests, and earn bonus points in the newly launched Metaverse Browser—a decentralized portal similar to popular gaming platforms like Steam.

This browser simplifies user interaction with Metaverse and applications in the Somnia ecosystem without requiring prior knowledge of Web3 technology.

The open design promises to provide an all-inclusive Metavase experience that allows content creators to freely deploy their apps. Somnia founder Paul Thomas said:

Thanks to this partnership, Yoga Labs NFT holders will be able to use avatars in any virtual experience. This helps ensure that your identities and digital assets are consistent and interoperable across different experiences.

This includes access to events hosted by MSquared, such as the MLB Virtual Ballpark, further enriching the user experience.
