ZachXBT Says Former Fortnite Pro Gamer Helped Steal $3.5M In Memecoin Scams
Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT, a former professional Fortnite player and blockchain security analyst from Australia, was involved in the memecoin scams in which nearly $3.5 million was stolen.
In a thread published on X on November 27th, ZachXBT said wallet addresses linked to former Fortnite player Snake had “high exposure” to several Pump.fun memecoin scams along with hacked social media accounts.
According to gaming TV network Ginx.tv, the former player, who was fired from the “Overtime” esports organization in June 2020 for cheating, was also known as a security analyst on X and the founder of a threat mitigation system called Sentinel.

ZachXBT said the wallet address linked to the snake project was “directly linked” to multiple account handlers, including McDonald's, Usher, Andy Airey, Dean Norris and the Enoshima Aquarium.
The detective said Snake was “gambling his earnings at online casinos,” and a copy of the gambling tape showed “high-risk” deposit and withdrawal addresses for some of the addresses involved in the bill.
After the first part of the investigation was published on November 26, Snake began deleting all of his posts from his new X account, the investigator reported.

In the year In 2022, Snake, who claimed to be a cyber security analyst, posted on his now-banned X account a guide on how fraudsters can target inexperienced crypto users by using fake websites, hacking verified accounts, phishing and impersonation climates.
Snake also launched a threat mitigation system called Sentinel and warned users about a vulnerability in Google Ads in 2022, blockchain security firm SlowMist reported.
