Zircuit, a new ZK package backed by Pioneer L2 Research, has launched a public testnet

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, November 9, 2023, Chainwire.

A new zero-knowledge resource backed by Pioneer L2 Research today announced the launch of a public testnet. Zircuit is fully compatible with EVM, supports existing Ethereum dApps and wallets and allows any dApp to be deployed on Ethereum with minimal changes to Zircuit. To celebrate the launch, Zircuit will host a multi-day event at DevConnect starting Monday, November 13th.

Over the past year and a half, Zirkut's team has been pioneering research projects such as packet security tools, packet compression, and scaling encryption. This work was supported by grants for Lab 2 (L2) research from the Ethereum Foundation. Zirkuit's upcoming testnet combines the team's research advances and new technology to create an enhanced L2 environment for developers.

Leveraging these research advances, Zircuit uses a hybrid approach that combines innovative zero-knowledge proofs with intelligent infrastructure. More efficient authentication generation will reduce fees and the development of new compression algorithms will increase transaction speed and save users gas. This smart integration allows developers to move popular dApps directly to Circuit without making expensive changes.

Zircuit provides the perfect place for developers to test dApps before launching them on the Ethereum mainnet. With security at the next level, Zircuit blocks any malicious transactions while still allowing developers to see hacking attempts. Transactions on Zircuit are cheap and setting up on Zircuit takes minutes, making it a quick and low-risk solution for developers who want to test.

The unique combination of coil and ZK technology in Circuit also provides a streamlined experience for end users. Ethereum applications can seamlessly deploy to Zircuit without having to learn a new programming language or framework so that when popular Ethereum applications have updates, Zircuit can easily stay updated. This compatibility allows users to enjoy the new features, speed and cost benefits of these dApps without having to learn anything extra.

“Our research on Circuits has led us to create an L2 scaling solution that breaks new ground and paves the way for a new generation of circuits. It takes existing technology further and makes it easier to use for both developers and dApp users,” said Dr. Jan Gorzny, Head of Circuit L2 Scaling.

Zircuit invites developers and projects from across the web3 ecosystem to participate in the testnet. Projects get help and incentives like onboarding, readiness support and developer workshops.

At Devconnect, Zircuit is hosting a 4-day event where attendees can learn more about testnet startups, engage with the Zircuit team, and mingle with members of the Web3 community. Tickets are available at
