ZkSync's Gemholic project is suspected of being a $3.5M carpet drag.

The cryptocurrency community is under threat following the alleged carpet dragging incident involving the Gemholic project and the zkSync network.

Several users affected by the Gameholic scam have taken to the X social platform to raise awareness. Zackmarket founder NSerec Gemholic has confirmed that he stole $3.5 million.

In X's post, NSerec claims Gemholic cheated its investors for a year by giving fake refunds. After the fund was finally opened, the group performed what looked like a carpet. NSerec has requested the address of the creator of the contract, which is believed to be sponsored by Binance, and community members with knowledge of how Binance can help, to contact them.

KYC provider silence

Although you have completed Know Your Customer (KYC) verification with SolidProof, the verification service has not publicly disclosed its status. NSerec believes the silence is probably an effort to prevent fear, doubt and doubt (FUD) from spreading among investors.

According to NSerec, KYC service providers should either admit they didn't do a good job of vetting the people involved or report the fraudsters to the authorities and tell the public what happened. If the KYC company, SolidProof, continues to ignore this problem, then their services can no longer be trusted.

The founder of Zkmarkets said that if SolidProof is not involved in the Gameholic scam, the affected people should hold SolidProof accountable. He even pointed out that people who don't take action should call them “futile proof” instead of “strong evidence”.

Back story

zkSync project Gemholic has had its funds locked up for over a year due to an error in the sales contract. Matter Labs, the team behind Ethereum layer 2 scaling solution zkSync, identified the issue as originating from the .transfer() function in the GemstoneIDO smart contract, which is part of a project managed by the GemholicECO ecosystem.

On June 7, zkSync completed the v24 update, which fixed the issue and allowed access to locked funds.

Following the update, the Gameholic project withdrew 921 Ether (ETH) from its contract and transferred it to the Ethereum blockchain. The Gameholic X account and all Telegram messages have been deleted at the time of publication.
